How to Spot Polybutylene
Look where supply lines enter the water heater, under sinks, and at the main shutoff: poly is usually gray (sometimes blue outdoors), flexible plastic, often stamped “PB2110.” Homes built 1978–1995 — especially in the post-Hurricane-Andrew construction wave — are the prime years.

Does every poly home really need this?
Poly doesn’t heal, and most failures start 10–15 years after installation — every remaining system is past that window. Between a planned repipe and a burst line behind a wall, the repipe is dramatically cheaper.
Will you find problems and inflate the price?
No — the price is flat, in writing, before work begins. If we find something unrelated during the work, it is documented and quoted separately, in writing, for you to approve or decline.
